They are currently seeking a full-time, hybrid Copywriter to join their fast-paced marketing team in Hinckley, MN.

Job Overview & Compensation

  • Position: Copywriter (Marketing Department)
  • Salary Range: $45,000 – $74,250 / annually
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Hinckley, MN 55037 (Hybrid work with regular travel between Mille Lacs and Hinckley properties)
  • Reports To: Senior Creative Director

What You’ll Do: Driving the Brand Voice

As a Copywriter for Grand Casino, you will balance creativity with strategic execution. You will partner across marketing, advertising, and internal leadership teams to craft messaging that connects with guests and drives clear business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop original creative concepts for multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, social media, email, web, radio, out-of-home (OOH), and video.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the Creative Director, Social Media team, and internal departments to gather accurate information and shape campaign directions.
  • Research & Accuracy: Conduct background research to ensure all written messaging is relevant, effective, and grammatically flawless.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure all content aligns with grand brand standards and the company’s core values.

The Ideal Candidate: What You Bring

Grand Casino is looking for a collaborative, curious, and highly adaptable writer who can handle tight deadlines without losing their creative edge.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Writing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Portfolio: A strong, versatile portfolio that demonstrates high-quality, creative writing across different mediums.
  • Experience: 1+ years of copywriting experience in an agency, retail, casino/gaming, or corporate in-house environment.
  • Compliance: Ability to secure a license from the Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA) and adhere to Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGRs).

Strongly Preferred: Prior experience in the casino or gaming industry. Familiarity with gaming operations and promotional strategy is highly valuable and will help you scale up faster in this role.

Note: Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised during the hiring process.
